What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a person who is curious about the world and tenacious about seeking the truth. The candidate must have strong sense of ethics and integrity, the ability to meet a deadline, critical thinking skills, good communication and writing skills along with basic computer skills. Previous reporting experience is a plus.
What We Are Offering
The intern will report directly to the investigations editor and work alongside a team a reporters on anywhere from one to three projects where they will be a full participant for 12 weeks starting June 1. Projects typically last anywhere from a few weeks to a few months. This is a fast-paced, but very collaborative, environment and interns will be expected to manage their time wisely as they executive multiple tasks. The intern will have the opportunity to work alongside a team of investigative journalists digging into topics of national importance. Our interns are full participants in our projects and file records requests, conduct interviews, do research and write copy.
