March 2026 Member Spotlight: Greg Morton

Impacts Beyond the Classroom: Mid-Year Updates From the 2026 High School Partnership Program Participants
The Ida B. Wells Society has renewed its High School Investigative Partnership Program where Society staff works with journalism and language arts instructors at schools that serve primarily historically underrepresented populations and to give students hands-on education in investigative reporting. This year, roughly 100 students in Atlanta and New Orleans are spending the school year learning journalism skills they can apply to their coursework.

Member Spotlight: Dasia Garner
Dasia Garner, a senior multimedia journalism major at North Carolina A&T State University, is a member of the 2025 cohort of the Investigative Reporting Internship. As part of Dasia’s internship with the Associated Press, she worked out of Washington, D.C., where she did some reporting from the White House and the Capitol and worked on a major project.

The Ida B. Wells Society Investigative Reporting Fellowship is back for 2026! This no-cost, intensive program will bring professional journalists to Atlanta to sharpen their investigative reporting skills under the guidance of some of the most accomplished reporters and editors in the industry.
Summer 2026 Investigative Reporting Internship Applications Are Now Open!
The Ida B. Wells Society for Investigative Reporting is proud to announce that it will partner with news organizations across the country to offer investigative reporting internships to collegiate journalists and recent college graduates during the summer of 2026. Students from traditionally underrepresented groups and those attending HBCUs and MSIs are especially encouraged to apply.
