HBCU Investigative Journalism Workshop Coming This September

The Ida B. Wells Society is thrilled to partner with IRE for an upcoming HBCU Investigative Reporting Workshop in Atlanta!

This training is designed to support students at HBCUs and other minority-serving institutions in the South. We’ll teach a variety of investigative skills, including techniques to conduct investigative interviews, how to access public information, and tapping into the power of data and AI.
Attendance for this event is $15. We have several scholarship opportunities available to cover workshop registration, membership fees and a travel stipend, thanks to the generous support from the Rick Gevers-Karen Burns Diversity Endowed Fund for College Journalists. The deadline to apply for funding is Wednesday, August 28th at 11:59 pm CDT.Students, interested in attending?
