- are the only person using data in their newsroom and could use support to feel more confident in their work
Worried that your editor might not approve your time for a two-week workshop?
We can help! Let the Institute organizing team worry about it. We have a 100% track record convincing editors to let their staff take part.
How much is the data institute?
The Data Institute is a free, intensive, two-week workshop for journalists to learn data, design, and code. We want to make it easy to focus on learning, so we have a well-structured schedule (with breaks!) and offer stipends.
When is the application deadline?
The application deadline is April 25, so don’t delay!
